The Show Must Go Online
A Musical Written to be Rehearsed and Performed Remotely!
In this first-of-its kind musical, a group of students actor will each receive a 1-2 minute scene/song to rehearse, video record, and upload. All the final videos will then be collated and edited together to tell the hilarious story of a group of passionate students desperate to keep their annual musical alive…online!
Who Can Take Part?
Anyone aged 7 – 15*. Students do NOT have to be currently in Kuwait as all rehearsals will be online. (Ability to work in English is essential.)
When are the auditions/rehearsals?
Group sessions will take place weekly over Zoom on Mondays commencing Monday May 4th from 2pm to 3pm. The first session will be a read-through and casting session as we allocate the twenty main characters whose monologues and songs make up the show.
Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursday will be group/solo rehearsal days (Timings, on a schedule, will run from 2 pm to 5pm in 30 minute blocks.)
Student actors will have four weeks to practice, record, submit and finalize their scenes and the full production will then be edited to be broadcast on our Facebook channel at the end of Eid. Every week we will encourage students to record their latest ‘video take’ of their work and submit it for review each Sunday, ahead of the week’s rehearsals.
Will it cost me anything?
