Organised by Global Dignity
Global Dignity is a nonprofit organization that was founded in the year 2006 by Crown Prince Haakon of Norway, Mr. John Hope Bryant & Mr. Pekka Himanen. It is currently operating in over 80 countries and is headquartered in New York.
The organization aims to share the message of dignity, its importance and how we can all live a happier and more productive life respecting and accepting each other.
The purpose at Global Dignity is to unite everyone with the belief that we all deserve to live a life of dignity. The vision is a world where compassion, understanding and love triumph over intolerance, injustice, and inequality. Dignity is a right of every single individual across the globe irrespective of their status in society, their religion, their race or the size of their bank balance. As human beings, we need to understand that our actions affect others in one way or another and we need to be mindful of those actions.
In an effort to promote Dignity across the globe a curriculum for ages 5 to 9 has been complied and a separate one for ages 10 and above https://globaldignity.org/teaching-dignity/teaching-tools/#learner_experiences , the curriculum aims to convey the true meaning of Dignity and helps one reflect on what dignity means to each of them.
